Background on Howard Nielsen
Howard Nielsen has been a sustainability consultant, business manager, leadership facilitator and educator for over 30 years.
He was an early innovator of The Natural Step and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)
sustainability work in Australia, and was CEO of an organisation that was listed in the
top five “learning organizations” in Australia.
His consultancy clients include Toyota, Australia Post, Queensland Treasury, Brisbane
City Council, Micah Projects, Priority Building and many others. He is currently working with over fifty businesses in the ClimateSmart Business Cluster Program, sponsored by the Department of Environment and Resource Management.
